The Accounting App is an app allowing you to share your invoices automatically with your accountant from the Billtobox platform. This is a one-time activation.
Sharing can even be fully automated, depending on the parameters of the purchase invoices. (See Accounts payable > How to accept a purchase invoice). Your accountant receives each purchase invoice directly.
Sales invoices are shared as soon as they are sent to the customer from the Billtobox platform.
Please make sure that the email address firstname.lastname@example.org is whitelisted in the accountant's accounting software.
This is due to the fact that, in order to avoid spam, some software will not import invoices that are not coming from an authorized email address.
From the left sidebar, go to Apps
A page appears listing all the apps available.
Select the Accounting App.
A new window opens and allows you to select the channel through which the Billtobox account will be linked to the accountant's software.

The channel that best suits the accountant's software should be picked. The accountant will receive your invoices via this channel, in full transparency. There are several channels:
- ADM Solutions, the software that automates the accounting processes and the flow of documents between Billtobox and the accountant's software.
- Email delivery, to deliver invoices via an email address (or 2, one for payables, one for receivables).
- Billtobox Files, the software for sharing and synchronizing files offline and online. Read here how to activate the Accounting App with Billtobox Files.

Deactivating the Accounting App
To deactivate the accounting app (and therefore suspend sending documents to the accountant), go to the Apps menu and click on Activated.
You'll get to a page that will allow you to deactivate the app via a button at the bottom of the page.
Click Update Settings to save.
