Regularly checking manually whether new documents have been sent by your customers to their Billtobox Files folder is time consuming and boring.
This is why Billtobox Files has an option allowing you to receive an email alert when changes to a folder.
You can do this via the web application (files.billtobox.be) or directly via the local folder.
- Via the web app (files.billtobox.be):
- On the folder for which you want to receive notifications: right click on the folder> Edit notification
A small window appears where you can choose the frequency of notifications.
- On the folder for which you want to receive notifications: right click on the folder> Edit notification
- Locally
- Right click on the folder for which you want to receive notifications > Notify me on updates (may change depending on the language of your computer)
A window appears to confirm the change
- Right click on the folder for which you want to receive notifications > Notify me on updates (may change depending on the language of your computer)
Having done that, each modification occurring in the folder(s) for which you have carried out this procedure, you will receive a notification by e-mail.
Note: you can create a notification only for the Transfer subfolder to be notified when the contents of this subfolder are modified.
If you create the notification on the parent folder, any changes within that parent folder will trigger a notification. It's all about choosing the method you personally prefer, there is no right or wrong configuration.
